emu oil lotion
What is a good lotion or oil for use in a child Ezem?

We tried several things on our 8 year old son and their Ezem does not really work that well. We were told to try lavender lotion, skin was soft, but not put a lot of moisture behind. I have heard of Emu Oil. Does anyone know why?

The only thing that works is shea butter. L'Occitaine sells a cream that is 25% and not too perfumey. Also, start omega-3 to give [try Coromega] daily – the eczema has ceased to be the inside out. The Omegas are crucial to the skin, brain, eyes, nerves, development, etc.. To prescription, try momentasone [cream is better than the ointment]. Let the EMU maintain its oil – Try the Shea. Also, if you take baths, get some shea butter moisturizing "balls" for a bath. We do this to our two girls [one has eczema / very very dry skin]. try to find out if you are allergic to something specific, such as milk or if sun exposure is the cause of the problem. www.lush.com – Butterball
